MVI56-MNET
The MVI56-MNET module is a Modbus communication module manufactured by Allen-Bradley and Prosoft Technology. It uses Modbus TCP/IP protocol and ControlLogix network and can be used in a variety of applications. It comes with server and client drivers and functionality. This generic module can support up to 5 MBAP client connections using service port 502 and up to 5 MNET client connections using service port 2000. Clients on this module variant can easily send messages to multiple servers. The MVI56-MNET module is compatible with the Allen-Bradley ControlLogix processor. The communication module is equipped with an RJ 45 serial configuration port and a Modbus Ethernet port. The Modbus Ethernet port allows MNET client variants to communicate easily with the ControlLogix processor interface. Modules can be controlled by locating them on the network using Prosoft discovery software and assigning temporary IP addresses.
It is a free translation of English port, which can be considered as the outlet for communication between the device and the outside world. Ports can be divided into virtual ports and physical ports. Virtual ports refer to ports in computers or switch routers
