3500/92
The 3500/92 Communication gateway module provides extensive communication capabilities for all monitored racks with process control and integrated value and status using Ethernet TCP/IP and serial (RS232/RS422/RS485) communication capabilities. It also allows Ethernet communication with 3500 rack configuration software and data acquisition software. The supported protocols include: L Modicon Modbus protocol (via serial communication) L Modbus/TCP protocol (using serial Modbus variants for TCP/IP Ethernet communications) L Proprietary Bentley Nevada protocol (for communications using the 3500 rack configuration and data acquisition package) The Ethernet connection to 3500/92 is an RJ45 connection for 10BASE-T star configuration Ethernet. The 3500/92 supports communication interfaces, communication protocols and other functions of the original 3500/90, except for the main values of the Modbus register. The 3500/92 now has a configurable Modbus registration utility that can provide the same functionality as the functional Modbus registers originally handled by primary values
Communication network is a system that uses switching equipment and transmission equipment to connect geographically dispersed user terminals to realize communication and information exchange.
The most basic form of communication is the establishment of communication systems between points, but this can not be called communication network, only a number of communication systems (transmission systems) through switching systems according to a certain topology can be called communication. In other words, only with a switching system can any two end users in a certain area connect to each other and form a communication network. The communication network consists of user terminal equipment, switching equipment and transmission equipment. The transmission devices between the switching devices are called trunk lines, and the transmission devices between the user terminal devices and the switching devices are called subscriber lines.
