IS420ESWAH1A is one of several unmanaged Ethernet switches used in the Mark VIe system. These are designed and used to meet the needs of real-time industrial control. Such switches include HP-MDIX automatic sensing, 10/100 base copper and other functions, Includes autonegotiation, full duplex and half duplex negotiation, minimum 256 KB buffer and 4K Media Access Control (MAC) address and light emitting diode (LED) power supply, link, duplex, activity and speed indicators. Leds indicate status by either on/off status or flashing.
The IS420ESWAH1A uses a DIN rail mounting system. Optical/copper cables should be connected according to system and redundancy requirements. You can find this information using Mark VIe (GEH-6721) in the Ethernet Networking section of the GE Control Systems Volume 1 System Guide. Only certain DIN rail clamps work with these switches. For the ESWA, you can choose to install it using a 259B2451BVP1 clip so that the long side of the switch body is parallel to the rail, or 259B2451BVP2 if you prefer a vertical installation.
