The General Electric digital I/O board DS200TCDAG1A has a microprocessor and several programmable read-only memory (PROM) modules. It also contains a module consisting of 10 LED lights and a pair of 50-pin connectors. The GE digital I/O board DS200TCDAG1A is also fitted with 8 jumpers and 1 green LED visible from the side of the board. PROM modules can be removed from the board. They are located in sockets embedded in the board. When you want to replace a circuit board or want to replace a PROM module for any reason, you have access to hand tools specifically designed to remove and install PROM modules.
When the GE digital I/O board is installed and the drive is running, you can look at the board cabinet from the outside of the drive and quickly scan the board. If the green LED light lights up and flashes, the board is damaged and functioning properly without intervention. If it does not light up, you can investigate the cause and fix the problem.
