Digital/analog signal difference
Digital input and output signals are switching signals, 1 or 0,
There are two kinds of analog signal, voltage or current signal, usually the signal transmitted by the transmitter, such as using a pressure transmitter to detect the pressure of the water pipe, it will output an analog signal 4–20ma or 0-10V signal to PLC, PLC for data processing.
Digital input point (DI), processing digital input signal.
Analog input point (AI), processing analog input signal (0-20mADC, 0-5VDC).
Resistance signal (including thermal resistance) input point, processing thermal resistance or general resistance signal.
High-speed pulse input point, processing high-speed pulse signal.
Voltage (including thermocouple) input point, processing voltage input or thermocouple signal.
There is also communication, which is used to exchange data with the upper computer or control the lower-level controller instrument driver, etc.
