Rockwell Automation and Cognite, a global leader in industrial data software, announced a strategic partnership to further unlock the value of manufacturing data and accelerate technological change in the industry. The partnership will combine Rockwell Automation’s FactoryTalk® next-generation edge connectivity products for connecting plant assets, operations management applications and industry-specific analytics with Cognite Data Fusion®, Cognite’s leading industrial data operations platform, to create Industrial data centers that can be used for enterprise-wide expansion.

Rockwell Automation’s products have a strong presence in the industrial automation field, creating and processing data on a global scale. The partnership between Rockwell Automation and Cognite will bring to market a unique and unified edge-to-cloud industrial data center that enables understanding of operational, engineering, enterprise and visualization data for use in manufacturing across diverse industries.
The product transforms raw data into high-impact applications for real-time decision making and workflow improvement, ensuring safe, efficient and sustainable operations. Following Cognite’s success in the energy industry, the collaboration will further enhance the edge-to-enterprise capabilities of Sensia, a joint venture between Rockwell Automation and Schlumberger.
