ABB S800 I/O Overview
ABB S800 I/O is a fully distributed modular processing I/O system that connects the master controller to the PLC(program logic control system) via an industry standard fieldbus. Due to its extensive connectivity, it is suitable for a variety of processing controllers and PLCS made by ABB and others. Because it can be installed on-site, close to sensors and actuators, the S800 I/O reduces installation costs by reducing the cost of laying cables. Thanks to features such as module “hot swap”, “leap” reconfiguration and redundancy options.
Analog I/O modules:
All I/O modules are equipped to achieve current isolation from the rack floor in groups of 4 or 8 channels each. Modules feature a range of standard module status displays for all 4-20MA input/output modules and RTD and TC input modules with open circuit detection.
