Siemens Digital Industrial Software today announced that SK Hynix, a leading semiconductor supplier, has successfully achieved Korea’s first ASPICE automotive semiconductor software quality certification by deploying the Siemens Polarion™ ALM application lifecycle management solution.

ASPICE (Automotive Software Process Improvement Capability dEtermination) is an international standard for assessing the quality of automotive software development and is now widely adopted by automotive original equipment manufacturers (Oems). SK Hynix successfully passed ASPICE Level 2 certification in March this year and will continue to pursue level 3 to higher certification. SK Hynix uses Siemens Polarion ALM solutions to manage its software development lifecycle and improve the quality of its semiconductor product development.

Polarion ALM is an important part of Siemens’ Xcelerator industrial software portfolio, which provides a more systematic approach to product design, workflow and process management to help product line engineering and semiconductor research and development improve efficiency and productivity.
