Extreme redundant Power supplies (RPS) do not support connecting RPS to a running switch. Connecting RPS to a

running switch can adversely affect the switch, and the best practice is to turn off the power to the switch and RPS

before connecting them together with a cable. When cabling is complete, open the RPS and then the switch. STK-RPS-150PS

is a 150 watt DC power supply, suitable for Extreme Networks that do not support POE stackable or independent fixed switch

models, STK-RPS-150PS can be used as a standalone unit, or can be installed in two or eight slot brackets. It is then mounted on a standard 19-inch rack.

The 156-watt multi-power module (P0973BP) can provide several power supplies for a 24-port copper cable (PO973JM),

24-port optical fiber (P0973JN), and/or 8-port copper / 8-port optical fiber (PO973JP) managed switch. RPSM(P0973BP) must

be used with RPSC(PO973BM/BN) for installation purposes only. These cases have no AC power connections or electronics.

The RPSM(PO973BP) provides the following features: hot swap, a 12 V DC, up to 150 watts – continuous power output to connected

SecureStack devices. A front panel status LED indicating whether the RPSM is functioning properly.
