On October 18, Hon Hai Technology Day was officially held, Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang and Hon Hai Group Chairman Liu Yangwei spoke on the same stage. The two sides jointly announced that Nvidia will cooperate with Hon Hai to build artificial intelligence (AI) factories and apply AI factories to various industries.
It is understood that Hon Hai Technology and NVIDIA’s AI factory joint construction project will be specifically promoted by its subsidiary Industrial Fulian. Cheng Hongmeng, chairman of Industrial Fulian, also appeared at the event, and accompanied Liu Yangwei, chairman of Hon Hai Group, to visit the exhibition hall of AI-related products with Huang Jenhsun.
Under the partnership plan, Hon Hai will work with Nvidia to develop a new type of data center, dubbed the “AI factory,” to power innovation, such as manufacturing digitization and generative AI services. Hon Hai plans to build a large number of computing systems based on Nvidia’s cpus and Gpus and its networking technology. The systems will be sold to customers who want to build AI data factories and will be equipped with Nvidia hardware and Nvidia AIEnterprise software.
In addition to manufacturing servers and core components for Nvidia’s AI factory, Hon Hai will also accelerate the application of AI in the factory, using Nvidia’s Omniverse platform and Isaac and Metropolis frameworks to meet the electronics industry’s stringent production and quality standards. The AI factory created will make extensive use of robots to achieve fully automated production, and perform tasks such as production control and quality inspection based on the intelligent manufacturing platform composed of the Internet of Things and AI large models. The AI factory will also focus on the training and reasoning of these systems and running virtual world simulations.

In addition, Nvidia’s latest “strongest on the surface” AI chip GH200 chip module orders have also been handed over to industrial Fulian.
Industry insiders said that the planning of the “AI factory” concept means that the cooperation between the two sides is not limited to the design and manufacturing of servers, but will also work together to accelerate the implementation of generative AI in various fields. Industrial Fulian has participated in building six world-class lighthouse factories, and has the ability to move from “using AI manufacturing” to “creating AI manufacturing”. It is believed that with the in-depth promotion of cooperation between the two sides, it will bring more far-reaching impact to the entire manufacturing industry.
