On August 21-22, the national finals of the 2023 RAICOM Robot Developer Competition (RAICOM), sponsored by the Talent Exchange Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Organizing committee of the RoboCom International Open Championship, officially kicked off in Yangling Demonstration Zone, Shaanxi Province. A total of 268 institutions, 464 teams and more than 2,000 players from Tongji University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Beijing University of Technology, Shandong University, Shanghai University, Southwest University and other universities qualified for the national finals of this year’s Ruokang Robot Developer Competition.

New intelligent life themed robot competition

In this year’s Ruizhan Robot Developer Competition, Youbi Technology brought its new robot competition “Youzhi Future” for higher vocational and undergraduate students. With the theme of intelligent life, the competition is divided into undergraduate group and vocational group, and each team is composed of 2-5 players from the same school. The main equipment used in the competition is Yanshee, an open-source humanoid bipedal education robot independently developed by Youbi Technology, and uKit Explore college Education Edition. Contestants need to cooperate to complete the code writing of robot Yanshee before the competition, and use uKit Explore to independently build a vehicle model robot that meets the requirements, and use voice interaction, visual positioning, visual recognition, posture calibration, motion control, multi-machine cooperation and other technologies through external voice commands. Complete the three tasks of “human-vehicle cooperation”, “obstacle crossing” and “Item delivery” within the specified time.

“Youzhi Future” special competition

In the competition, the players can simulate the future AI smart home life scene, let the robot as an intelligent butler, to achieve human-machine collaboration, complex environment of goods delivery and other life application scenarios. The competition combines cutting-edge artificial intelligence and robotics technology, and examines the professional abilities of participants such as comprehensive application of service robots, AI programming, engineering design, and comprehensive professional abilities such as team cooperation. As a humanoid robot head enterprise, Youbixi Technology fully demonstrates the high adaptability advantages of humanoid robots compared with wheeled or tracked robots in complex environments, as well as the human-machine collaboration ability of humanoid robots in home service scenarios.
