Aerotech, a global leader in precision motion control and automation, recently introduced the new Automation1 XA4 and iXA4 pulse width modulation servo drivers. These cost-effective single-axis and multi-axis surface-plate servo motor drivers integrate complete motion controllers and I/O expansion options. A four-axis version, more I/O extensions and DC motor power options are coming.

Automation1 XA4 1 axis or 2 axis PWM servo driver

The two-axis design of the XA4 simplifies multi-axis motion control, enabling accurate and effective control of multiple axes in the same machine space. Combined with the easy-to-use Automation1 motion control platform, the XA4 servo drive speeds up build times, improves product quality and yield, and reduces development time. It connects to Automation1’s PC base and Driver base controller products via the HyperWire® high-speed motion bus, supports multiple feedback devices, and has on-board high-speed data capture and process control memory.

Automation1 iXA4 1 axis or 2 axis PWM servo driver and motion controller

The iXA4 brings the precise control of Automation1 for multi-axis motion, reducing the footprint of the machine while eliminating the need for an industrial PC. It controls up to 12 axes of HyperWire® motion and runs up to nine user tasks on the embedded Automation1 controller. As a driver, the iXA4 supports a variety of feedback devices and is equipped with onboard memory for high-speed data capture and process control.
