The X440-G2 Series is a scalable, cost-effective family of stackable edge switches designed for campus

edge applications. Each X440-G2 model is powered by one of Extreme’s flagship operating systems,

ExtremeXOS, a resilient OS providing continuous uptime as well as manageability and operational

efficiency to the campus edge. The X440-G2 Series switches provide high-performance routing and

switching, flexible stacking, PoE support, and comprehensive security.

Available in 12, 24, and 48-port Gigabit Ethernet models with options for SFP and 100BASE-FX fiber

models, the X440-G2 Series enable fine-grained control over traffic flows as well as controlled access

to network services and applications by supporting intelligent Layer 2 switching and Layer 3 IPv4 or

IPv6 routing, as well as a role-based access policy, bi-directional Access Control Lists, and

granular ingress and egress bandwidth control.
