MVME141 Innovative linear transmission technology is conducive to the development of modern machine tool industry. With the new temperature control options from Bosch Rexroth, the guide rail system and the lead screw drive system operate more precisely and efficiently without the need for additional installation space. This cost-effective solution helps the machining process of the machine run smoothly, avoiding waste and saving materials. At the same time, production can start more quickly, thus shortening cycle times. These performance packages can be combined in a cost-effective manner, benefiting both old and new machine tool users.
Mechanical engineering companies that want to maintain their market position in the field of high precision need to adopt innovative technologies to make the process more stable without excessive cost pressure. Integrated temperature control is an economical solution for linear drive technology that improves the thermal performance of linear guides and drive components in the process. High-speed precision milling is one such application.
The guide rail system and lead screw drive system with optional temperature control are connected to the central cooling circuit of the machine by means of a conduit directly integrated into the guide rail or lead screw shaft driven by the lead screw. The energy loss caused by friction is dissipated through the linear guide rail. The ideal working temperature can also be quickly reached by preheating, so that the machine can be used immediately without running-in, and the first part can be machined with zero error. This results in increased productivity while minimizing waste and saving materials.
MVME141 With integrated temperature control technology, Bosch Rexroth’s guide rail system, lead screw drive system and IMS integrated measurement system are more accurate and efficient
Suitable for a range of linear guides and drive systems
Bosch Rexroth provides temperature control for ball and roller rail systems of all common specifications, as well as ball and planetary screw systems. The patented TCRS thermal compensation rail system for guide rail systems is also available as an option for IMS integrated measurement systems. In this way, for the first time, Bosch Rexroth combines the three functions of guidance, measurement and temperature control in a highly compact, customizable solution. By integrating linear encoder functionality and optional TCRS into the guide rail system, solutions can now be implemented or retrofitted for high-precision applications with minimal design and operating costs and without the need for additional installation space.
Modular packages are also available for retrofit upgrades
Unlike non-integrated solutions, Bosch Rexroth’s temperature control options require neither an external cooling system nor additional installation space. As a result, high-performance applications with the same mechanical properties can be easily implemented, existing systems can be converted into precision machines, or a variety of service packages can be offered for existing machine concepts, including retrofitting operations. With this modular approach, Bosch Rexroth’s integrated temperature control technology helps companies increase their competitiveness in the machine tool manufacturing industry.
