From July 16 to 17, 2024, the final of the 11th National College Students Mechanical Innovation Design Competition was held in Huazhong University of Science and Technology. About 1,400 teachers and students from 129 universities across the country, a total of 198 works competed for the first prize, and nearly 100,000 teachers and students watched the competition through online live streaming. As the cooperation unit of this competition, Kaimu Software was highly recognized by the organizing committee of the competition and was awarded the “Contribution Award” unit.

It is held once every two years and represents the highest level of mechanical design ability of college students in China.

The company originated from the CAM teaching and research Department of the Mechanical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Professor Chen Zhuoning, the founder and chief scientist of the company, led the research group to develop China’s first fully self-developed engineering design drawing software based on painted geometry (open eye CAD) in 1994. In the same period, Kaimu 3D intelligent technology series software has also joined the intelligent manufacturing teaching of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and jointly built a national intelligent manufacturing training center with HUST, to create the top mechanical manufacturing technology courses in China, to help Huazhong University of Science and Technology mechanical manufacturing teaching to a higher level, to achieve the integration of production, learning and research.
