ABB REB670 1MRK002820-AC is an intelligent microcomputer protection device designed for the protection and monitoring of bus, T-connected and branch lines in power systems, suitable for a wide range of applications from medium voltage to ultra-high voltage. Known for its perfect combination of speed and stability, the REB670 is essential for busbar protection. The device is able to operate in a very short time, with a typical operation time of 12 milliseconds, and maintains extremely high stability even for out-of-area failures.

The REB670 is designed to meet the differential protection needs of a variety of wiring types, including single bus, dual bus (with or without bypass bus), dual circuit breakers, and one and a half circuit breaker configurations. It provides selective and reliable fast removal of ground faults in power systems, and correctly handles all internal multiphase faults, whether in directly grounded or low-impedance grounded systems, or in ungrounded or high-impedance grounded systems.

REB670 integrates a variety of algorithms, including two differential principles: standard low-impedance differential and differential with sensitive action characteristics. The latter is suitable for power systems with low impedance grounding, and can reliably detect various ground faults in the area, even when the neutral resistance or the reactor limits the ground current to 300-2000A. In addition, REB670 has the ability to quickly detect and correctly resect various developmental or transformational faults.

With its novel and fast algorithm, REB670 can detect and block the bus protection in time when the CT circuit is open, and the CT circuit open monitoring can select the reset logic, and the bus protection function can be restored when the CT circuit is normal. The CT monitoring loop function can also send alarm signals and trigger wave recording.
