National Instruments has introduced a new PXI Express high-speed data storage module, the PXIe-8267, which provides a high-capacity, high-throughput storage solution in a single PXI Express slot. Equipped with a 4TB M.2 NVMe solid-state drive, this module is ideal for streaming disk applications that require consistent, reliable data throughput, such as high-speed signal intelligence, RF recording and playback, and multi-sensor data acquisition systems.
With its high throughput of 5 GB/s and power range of 22.9 to 36.8W, the PXIe-8267 module demonstrates its outstanding performance in data storage. A key feature is support for frequency ranges up to 1MHz to 26.5GHz, dual-port S-parameter measurement, standing wave, amplitude and phase testing, and support for multiple calibration methods and automatic testing. This makes the PXIe-8267 suitable not only for laboratory environments, but also for field testing.
In addition, the installation and configuration process for the PXIe-8267 has been simplified. National Instruments provides guidance on steps such as hardware installation, software/driver installation, RAID creation, and optimizing streaming performance. The thermal design of the PXIe-8267 has also been specifically considered for use in a PXI Express chassis with sufficient cooling capacity to ensure optimal performance and device safety.
The introduction of the PXIe-8267 further expands National Instruments’ product line in the PXI Express area, providing engineers and researchers with a powerful data storage solution to meet the challenges of high-speed data recording and playback. With the continuous progress of technology and the increasing demand for applications, PXIe-8267 is expected to play a more important role in the field of test and measurement in the future
