August 27, 2024 – Rockwell Automation has added a high-performance servo drive, the 2198-H025-ERS, to its Kinetix 5500 series, further expanding its product line in precision motion control. With its excellent power density and efficient control technology, this driver meets the needs of industrial automation for high-performance servo systems.
The 2198-H025-ERS servo drive is designed for a variety of industrial applications, including precision machinery, robotics, packaging and conveying systems. It supports two input supply voltage ranges, 195-264V rms three-phase and 324-528V rms three-phase, with nominal voltage levels of 240VAC and 480VAC. The driver delivers up to 8.0A continuous output current and 11.3A peak output current, demonstrating excellent power output. Under 195-264V, three-phase power supply voltage, its output power reaches 2.4kW, while under 324-528V, three-phase power supply voltage, the output power is as high as 5.1kW.
The drive also features an integrated Safe Torque Off (STO) feature that enhances the safety of the machine. In addition, the 2198-H025-ERS is compatible with Rockwell Automation’s Studio 5000 design environment, facilitating the implementation of integrated architectures and enabling the integration of dual Ethernet communication interfaces. Full integration into CompactLogix, ControlLogix, and GuardLogix controller platforms.
The introduction of the 2198-H025-ERS drives not only expands the range of options available in the Kinetix 5500 series, but also brings more options to industrial customers seeking high-performance servo solutions. Rockwell Automation is committed to providing customers with smarter, more efficient and reliable industrial automation solutions through continuous technological innovation, and the introduction of the 2198-H025-ERS is a reflection of this commitment.
