Advant MOD 300 Distributed Control System (DCS)
ABB provides support and upgrades for a wide range of Advant MOD300 distributed control systems, including Advant controllers 410, 460 and S100 I/O in high-capacity redundant configurations.
The Advant MOD300 system was introduced in 1984 and features integrated control languages CCF and TCL, Redundant Communication Network (DCN), redundant controller models A and B, history and reporting, bulk data I/O, and Bus operator console. This product has entered the phase of life cycle obsolescence since 2010.
In 1988, the MOD 300 control system added SC controllers, Taylor ladder logic (TLL), and TRIO I/O.
In 1992, MOD300 systems began to enter the Advant platform, along with the introduction of redundancy schemes, high-capacity controllers AC460, AC410, and S100 I/O rack-mount, and UniX-based operator and engineering stations.
In 1996, modular flexible remote S800 I/O was added. In addition, the remote EX S800 I/O was introduced in the mid to late 1990s to transmit in hazardous areas.
In 2004, with the introduction of the 800xA system, MOD300 began the next step in its evolution, offering the 800xA system for Advant MoDs.
ABB’s control systems are designed to provide continuous evolution, and ABB is committed to continuously protecting your investment through enhanced functionality.
