1747-L553
The 1747-L553 is an SLC 5/05 processor belonging to the SLC 500 programmable Logic Controller (PLC) platform. The controller has the highest memory in the SLC 5/05 category at 64 KB of memory. It integrates an RS32 sub-D 9-pin connector for establishing peer-to-peer communication with a locally installed Human machine interface (HMI) or programming workstation. It also has an integrated Ethernet, which is ideal for long-distance communication, with transmission speeds of 10/100 MBPS and the shortest distance of 100 meters. It’s also ideal for connecting multiple devices at once. Both (2) ports can also be used simultaneously without affecting the logical execution capability of the processor. The CONTROLLER IS well SUITED FOR medium to large APPLICATIONS, WHERE CONTROL REQUIREMENTS vary from manual to automatic control of discrete or analog LOOPS, as well as complex control techniques utilizing a large number of embedded instructions. It can be used for factory automation, process automation and even motion and position control requirements. It is also capable of sending messages to other Allen-Bradley PLC platforms, such as PLC 5, CompactLogix, and ControlLogix, over specified communication protocols. Although integrated with Ethernet and RS232 ports, the processor can be fitted with communication adapters such as remote I/O (RIO), Data Highway Plus (DH+), DeviceNet, and DH485.
The controller refers to the main command device that changes the wiring of the main circuit or control circuit and changes the resistance value in the circuit to control the starting, speed regulation, braking and reverse of the motor in a predetermined order. It is composed of program counter, instruction register, instruction decoder, timing generator and operation controller. It is the “decision-making mechanism” that issues commands, that is, it completes the operation of coordinating and directing the whole computer system.
