The 3500/15 AC and DC power supplies are half-height modules and must be installed in the specified slot on the left side of the rack. The 3500 rack can contain one or two power supplies with any combination of AC and DC. Either power supply can power the entire rack.
The 3500/15 AC and DC power supply of 3500/15 accepts a variety of high or low input voltages and can be converted to the voltage required by the 3500 module. They are ideal for mechanical protection systems, and one or two power supplies can be used if backup is needed. After the two power supplies are installed, the lower slot houses the main power supply and the upper slot houses the redundant power supply.
The 3500/15 power supply provides either AC or DC power to the 3500, including transient data interface (TDI), separate monitoring module and input/output (I/O) module, and all connected sensor monitoring systems in mechanical protection and Condition. Modules can be “hot-swappable” by removing or inserting either power module without damaging the rack.
