The extensive library of function blocks includes many types of control loops, including advanced control and auto-tuning functions and the integration of ABB drives and motors. Controller communication via Ethernet includes onboard RNRP redundancy and an extensive set of communication modules for connecting to third-party devices. The excellent redundancy concept allows fast switchover times and topologically separated CPU modules. A variety of CPU modules are available, varying in processing power, memory size, and redundancy support. Priority-controlled, time-based tasks for maximum stability even in complex control tasks.

Compact Control Builder supports the standard IEC 61131-3 programming language and is the tool used to design the AC 800M control code and hardware layout. It creates logic, sequential and analog control-intensive automation solutions for all existing controllers in an automation system to be processed in one database. Flash cards allow loading of applications without engineering tools to support OEM and remote solutions.

The AC 800M for Compact Control Builder is a PAC series built as rail-mounted modules, consisting of a CPU, communication module, power supply module and various accessories. There are 7 CPUs to choose from, ranging from medium processor power and low cost to high processor power and support for full redundancy.
