The 3500/40M Proximitor® Monitor is a 4-channel monitor that accepts input from a Bently Nevada proximity sensor, adjusts the signal to provide a variety of vibration and position measurements, and compares the adjusted signal to a user-programmable alert. Users can program each channel of 3500/40m using 3500 rack configuration software to perform any of the following functions: These functions at once. Channels 1 and 2 can perform one function, while channels 3 and 4 perform another (or the same) function.
The main purpose of the 3500/40M monitor is to provide: 1) Protect the machinery by continuously comparing the monitoring parameters with the configured alarm setting point to drive the alarm. 2) Basic machine information of operation and maintenance personnel. Depending on the configuration, each channel typically adjusts its input signal to various parameters called “static values.” Users can configure alert setting points for each active static value and danger setting points for any two active static values.
