This also means that Huichuan Technology has further broken a new operating depth record in the 10,000 meter deep well.
Oil and gas drilling 10,000 meters deep is a super project in the field of global oil and gas exploration, facing many world-class problems, has become one of the important indicators to measure the level of engineering technology and equipment of a country or enterprise. Due to its complex geological structure, deep ground Chuanke 1 well in Sichuan Basin has become the world’s most difficult 10,000-meter deep well to drill. According to 13 global engineering difficulty indexes, deep ground Chuanke 1 well ranks first in the world in 7 difficulty indexes.

Conquer the “new Shu Road”
The Shu road is difficult, it is difficult to go to the blue sky, the poetry fairy Li Bai to the mountains and rivers. Where is the underground “new Shu Road” more difficult? Its ultra-high pressure of 138 mpa is far more than the pressure of the sea water in the Mariana Trench, equivalent to parking a 1.3-ton car on the fingernails, but also faced with a maximum temperature test of 224 degrees Celsius.
With the increase of drilling depth, the difficulty of drilling becomes exponential growth, and small mistakes may cause huge losses, which puts forward extremely high requirements for the reliability of electronic control equipment.

The MD880 has challenged several UHT and high-pressure Wells, and no matter how hard and complex the formation is drilled, the MD880 has always been a stable escort rig and a never-ending “drill bit”.
In the deep-earth Chuanke 1 well project, the overall drive of the 120DB ultra-deep well rig is equipped with a total rectifier power of 12094kw and a total inverter power of 16300kw. The rated lifting capacity of its winch reaches 900T. The mechanical part is controlled by four motors with four sets of 1100kw motors. The drive part needs to carry out 4-axis speed synchronization and load distribution and support arbitrary switching of the host position, which is very demanding on the synchronous drive control performance and mode of the Huichuan drive device.
Huichuan technology adopts a modular system configuration scheme, four groups of rectifier modules and 13 groups of inverter modules can be unified and mutually standby, which greatly improves the reliability of the overall system solution. With the online maintenance switch, it can operate in a reduced capacity in the absence of spare parts, realizing “never stop”.
Based on a wide range of rig application scenarios in the early stage of Huichuan, the MD880 product was finally determined to adopt a four-axis optical fiber synchronous control scheme, which passed the field test once, and the control effect was excellent (speed and torque deviation less than 5‰), fully meeting the application requirements.
Chuanke 1 well in deep Earth is a “super project” deployed in Shudi with a depth of 10,000 meters. This oil and gas well will shoulder two major tasks of scientific exploration and oil and gas discovery to ensure national energy security.
