Nowadays, industrial robots have a very wide range of applications in automated production, and industrial robots may be used in a variety of production links.
The automotive industry is an industry with a very high degree of automation, even if it is experiencing the transformation from traditional fuel vehicles to new energy vehicles, the production of automobiles, especially in the body in white welding process is still inseparable from the traditional automation technology, and industrial robots are naturally an indispensable part of it.
The body in white welding production line basically includes the following types of typical stations:
Automatic line body
Manual stations, such as drawers, manual APC
Semi-automatic parts, such as upper and lower parts
For the protection of robots in different stations, protective measures should be taken in line with the characteristics of the station.
Automatic line body
There should be no human access during normal production, so a holistic strategy can be adopted in accordance with EN ISO 11161. Examples include stationary protection in accordance with EN ISO 14120 and movable protection with safety interlocks.
When it is necessary to enter the line body for maintenance purposes, the safety interlock door can be opened and the robot can be safely controlled through the safety function loop. Such a design involves standards such as EN ISO 14119, EN ISO 10218-2, EN ISO 13849-1, etc.
Manual station
The tasks on such stations are manually completed by the operator. It is necessary to pay attention to the size of the opening and the safety distance, and it is necessary to consider whether the operator can reach into the automation line and touch the moving robot through the opening. In the design, it is necessary to refer to the relevant standards such as EN ISO 13857.
Semi-automatic chemical bit
Semi-automatic chemical position is very common in the body in white production line, usually manual upper and lower parts, involving a certain degree of cooperation between the operator and the robot. The protective strategy is to have the operator and the robot not enter the public area at the same time. The upper part needs to be combined with security products such as grating and scanner for personnel entry and presence detection, so as to tell the robot that there are people in the public area at the moment, do not come. At the interface between the public area and the automation area, fixed protection is usually used to prevent personnel from entering.
For the robot, in addition to the conventional safety stop, it is also necessary to use the safety boundary, and there is also a limiting function called the safety box. In the design process, it is necessary to refer to EN ISO 13855, EN ISO 10218-1/2, EN ISO 13849-1, EN ISO 13857 and other relevant standards.
Automobile and robot, two hard industrial representatives in the automated production line collision out of a fierce spark, in the “appreciation” of the beauty of the industry, safety issues can not be ignored!
