In the late 1990s, the concept of Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) was not yet available
in the field of data centers, and Schneider Electric’s newly established “Global Data Center
Research Center” was already providing customers with energy efficiency analysis of data center
infrastructure. It is called DCIE (Data Center Infrastructure Efficiency).
For more than 20 years, Schneider Electric has been committed to empowering and driving the
development of the industry, and has pioneered the leading ideas, innovative technologies and best practices
of data centers in the form of white papers, providing scientific theoretical basis and implementation path for best
practices in improving energy efficiency, availability, security and sustainable development of data centers.
Thus, it has become an important source to promote the innovation and development of the data center industry,
and has gradually established the mission of “researching data center technology and development trends, advocating
best practices”, and has devoted itself to writing and publishing science-based, thematic and vendor neutral white papers,
which has enlightened and influenced generations of data center practitioners.
