The models of Emerald Gen2 are divided into 8.9 megapixel (4096 x 2160) and 12 megapixel (4096 x 3072), monochrome and color, standard speed, and high-speed versions. High speed models have excellent performance in demanding applications such as food sorting, inspection, and intelligent transportation systems that require ultra fast and clear imaging.
This sensor adopts 2.8 μ M’s small global shutter pixel, designed with Teledyne e2v’s latest generation optical conduit technology, has a dynamic range of up to 67 dB in 10-bit and 12-bit ADC modes. It allows the camera to work in high contrast scenes without any exposure issues.
Compared to the original Emerald series, the new series has made multiple functional improvements. Its matrix adopts 21 x 20 mm ² The compact ceramic planar grid array (CLGA) package is suitable for 1-inch optical format, making integration easier and more cost-effective. It has two output types: LVDS and MIPI CSI 2, and camera manufacturers can choose any interface to use according to customer needs. It also has low noise performance, with a readout noise of<3e -, while the dual light guide technology improves its sensitivity and angular response.
Teledyne e2v Marketing Manager Maxime Taupin said, “We are pleased to launch the Emerald Gen2 sensor series, which will meet the current and future needs of many industries. This new sensor enhances optoelectronic performance and allows for flexible output selection, giving camera manufacturers high-performance solutions to meet demanding customer needs
