This agreement will deepen the cooperative relationship between the two parties and further expand the collaborative production based on prefabricated modular data center solutions
By integrating both supply chains, faster delivery speed, higher predictability, and more optimized costs can be achieved
Recently, Schneider Electric, a digital transformation expert in the field of global energy management and automation, announced at an investor conference the signing of a multi-year cooperation agreement worth $3 billion with Compass Datacenters. Based on this agreement, both parties will expand their existing cooperation scope by integrating their supply chains to jointly produce and deliver prefabricated modular data center solutions.
Currently, thanks to the booming development of the artificial intelligence market, the demand for massive data and computing power has skyrocketed. The market urgently needs new data centers that can achieve standardized design, higher production efficiency, faster delivery speed, and more optimized costs.
Since the initial agreement was signed, Schneider Electric has produced and delivered approximately 150 modular data center solutions for Compass Datacenters at its operations center in West Chester, Ohio. Previously, both parties had jointly announced the construction of a new integrated factory this summer to enhance the production capacity of modular solutions and meet the expected growth in demand for data center solutions. The factory is located in the Red Oak Park in Texas and covers an area of 110000 square feet.
Chris Crosby, CEO of Compass Datacenters, said, “We are very grateful to Schneider Electric for their unwavering support and unparalleled expertise in the power supply and distribution of prefabricated modular data centers. Through the joint efforts of both parties, we will be able to meet the growing needs of customers and provide cutting-edge data center solutions in innovative ways
Aamir Paul, President of Schneider Electric North America, stated: As a partner of Compass Datacenters, Schneider Electric is proud to provide customers with the infrastructure they need in a more predictable and reliable manner. The expansion of this collaboration will help us continue to drive technological innovation and meet future needs, providing better services to cloud service providers, as well as industry customers in semiconductor and electric vehicles, healthcare, and telecommunications
Through this unique five-year cooperation agreement, Schneider Electric and Compass Datacenters will be able to fulfill their commitment to jointly build scalable modular data centers. Modular data centers are easy to design, simplify processes, accelerate production speed, and can be easily deployed in multiple environments.
