The agreement will deepen the partnership and further expand co-production based on prefabricated modular data center solutions
By integrating both sides of the supply chain, you can achieve faster delivery, greater predictability, and more optimized costs
Schneider Electric, a global digital transformation specialist in energy management and automation, announced a $3 billion multi-year partnership with Compass Datacenters at its investor conference. Under this agreement, the two parties will expand their existing collaboration to jointly produce and deliver prefabricated modular data center solutions by integrating their supply chains.
At present, thanks to the booming development of the artificial intelligence market, the demand for massive data and computing power has soared, and the market is in urgent need of new data centers that can achieve standardized design, higher production efficiency, faster delivery, and more optimized costs.
Since the initial agreement was signed, Schneider Electric has produced and delivered approximately 150 modular data center solutions for Compass Datacenters at its West Chester, Ohio operations center. Earlier this summer, the two companies jointly announced the construction of a new integrated factory to increase the production capacity of modular solutions to meet the expected growth in demand for data center solutions. Located in Red Oak Park, Texas, the facility covers 110,000 square feet.
Chris Crosby, CEO of Compass Datacenters, said, “We are grateful to Schneider Electric for their unwavering support and unparalleled expertise in the power and distribution of prefabricated modular data centers. Together, we will be able to meet the growing needs of our customers to deliver cutting-edge data center solutions in innovative ways.”
Aamir Paul, President of Schneider Electric North America, said: “As a partner of Compass Datacenters, Schneider Electric is proud to be able to provide the infrastructure our customers need in a more predictable and reliable way. “This expansion of our partnership will help us continue to drive innovation and meet future needs to better serve cloud service providers, as well as customers in industries such as semiconductors and electric vehicles, healthcare and telecommunications.”
Through this unique five-year partnership agreement, Schneider Electric and Compass Datacenters will be able to fulfill their commitment to jointly build scalable, modular data centers. Modular data centers are easy to design, simplify processes, accelerate production, and can be easily deployed in multiple environments.
