With the ArmorBlock 5000 I/O solution, manufacturers can deploy and maintain intelligent automation systems more efficiently. The highly integrated IO-Link capability simplifies device configuration and enables optimal integration with Allen-Bradley controllers, ultimately reducing the complexity of machine design. In the intuitive Studio 5000 Logix Designer® environment, users can use common label structures and configure workflows to speed up project development.
The high-performance ArmorBlock 5000 I/O module is optimized for On-Machine applications to help speed installation, commissioning and troubleshooting and reduce downtime. The I/O modules are designed for a wide temperature range and provide protection up to IP69K for high-speed applications in harsh environments. In addition, the module is available in three industry-standard power supply models to meet the needs of different regions.
The IO-Link master module is the first to be released in the ArmorBlock 5000 I/O series. These expandable modules provide up to eight IO-Link channels, including four IO-Link Class A ports and four IO-Link Class B ports, for extreme flexibility. They can control high-current devices and improve interconnectivity, helping to improve machine performance and productivity.
Rockwell Automation also plans to release additional products to expand its ArmorBlock 5000 I/O solutions portfolio. The upcoming configurable I/O module provides intelligent features such as event sequential recording (SOE), predetermined outputs, input timestamps, event triggers, and more.
