In 2022, Thermo Field will further increase its carbon reduction target to achieve a 50% reduction in absolute greenhouse gas emissions from direct and indirect emissions by 2030 compared to 2018. In addition, by the end of 2027, Thermo Feld will help more than 90% of its suppliers set their own scientific carbon emission targets, contributing to global carbon reduction.

Over the past year, Thermo Field has partnered with a number of international organizations to improve transplant diagnostics and increase access to organ transplants for patients with related diseases. Launching a new electron microscope to help customers advance drug discovery for degenerative diseases and healthier lives. At the same time, Thermo Feld supports researchers around the world to accelerate research on climate and microplastic pollutants, and to help automobile manufacturers improve the efficiency of electric vehicles with innovative solutions to work together to create a cleaner environment. In addition, Thermo Fei also ensures human survival and ecological safety through its cutting-edge water quality monitoring and analysis technology, as well as food safety testing solutions.

Around the four key pillars of environment, people, community and operations, Thermo Feld has also made remarkable achievements in the New Year. In terms of environmental protection, Thermo Field’s goal of “net zero carbon emissions by 2050” was approved by the Science Carbon Target Initiative (SBTi) and achieved a 25% reduction in absolute greenhouse gas emissions from direct and indirect emissions compared to 2018. In terms of employee care, Thermo Field continues to build a diverse and inclusive workplace and continues to increase the proportion of female employees. At the same time, for the community, Thermo Field also reached more than 89,500 students through various corporate social responsibility programs, and employees volunteered more than 120,000 hours a year. and continue to improve access to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education globally. In China, Thermo Field combines the company’s mission with China’s development strategy of “continuously promoting green development and promoting harmonious coexistence between man and nature”, and protects a cleaner environment with innovative solutions “customized in China” to help achieve the dual-carbon goal. For the lithium battery industry, Thermo Fei has launched a complete solution covering the whole industry chain of upstream and downstream, enabling the whole process of lithium batteries from the mining and extraction of raw materials, to production and processing, and then to the recycling of materials. In the field of new pollutant prevention and control, which has attracted widespread public attention in recent years, Thermo Field has developed a diversified product portfolio and complete solutions to support the whole process of sample collection, preparation, analysis and data processing of environmental testing, and comprehensively assess the health risks of new pollutants such as microplastics and antibiotics in the environment.

In recent years, Thermo Field has continued to invest in key areas such as environmental cleaning, science education, and disease treatment, and has radiated different groups in local society through a number of characteristic public welfare projects such as “Little Scientist”, “Female Scientist Growth Program”, and “Clean Beach Tree-planting Activity”. In June this year, Thermo Fly and China Youth Development Foundation successfully held 2023 “Thermo Fly Science Public Welfare Day”, gathering more than 300 employees, family members and customer volunteers to carry out science classes in migrant children’s schools and public primary schools in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Suzhou.
