Song Zhongkui, Secretary general of China Energy Conservation Association, as the opening guest, shared his thoughts on energy conservation and consumption reduction in key industries, and put forward new ideas and new models for achieving green development in these industries. Wang Peng, a researcher at the Guangzhou Institute of Energy Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, shared his unique insights on “dual carbon” management by target, taking energy technology change as a starting point. Tu Jianjun, senior advisor of Agora Energy Transition Forum, based on facts and data, conducted a profound analysis of the “dual carbon” situation and an understanding of its realization path.
The summit also invited Mr. Shen Bo (Søren Bindesbøll), Consul General of the Kingdom of Denmark in Guangzhou, to share the technical cooperation and related projects between China and Denmark, providing a new vision for the guests at the scene. In addition, a number of technical and industrial application experts from Grundfos also shared the practice and excellent cases of green and low-carbon construction of factories.
“It is a great honor to meet with experts, scholars and customers to gather ideas and hear multiple perspectives.” Zhu Shunhua, Sales Director of Grundfos Industrial Business China, said: “The energy saving and low-carbon transformation of the factory cannot be achieved without the cooperation and efforts of many parties, which is also the original intention of Grundfos to create the Zero Carbon Summit. We hope to gather scholars and experts, industry upstream and downstream partners and industrial enterprises and other parties to create an open and continuous cooperation and exchange platform, and jointly inject new ideas, new concepts and new impetus into the industrial green transformation.”
At the signing ceremony, Chery Group Rui Jia (Anhui) Supply Chain Technology Co., Ltd. and Grundfos Industries China signed a “strategic cooperation agreement”, at the same time, Grundfos also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with a number of provincial and municipal energy conservation associations across the country, to jointly launch green initiatives, through technology exchanges and energy-saving diagnostic services, promote the green and low-carbon transformation of industrial enterprises. Since the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology started the construction of the green manufacturing system in 2016, various places have issued green manufacturing implementation plans, and vigorously promote the construction of green factories and energy-saving transformation work. According to statistics, up to now, China has cultivated 2,783 green factories, 296 green supply chain enterprises and 223 green industrial parks at the national level. The establishment and promotion of the “double carbon” goal has strengthened the urgency of the green transformation of factories. In the past few years of exploration, digital technology has shown strong potential for value optimization, helping the factory hardware to operate more reliably, more efficiently, and more energy efficient, thus achieving green and low-carbon development.
As a global water technology company, Grundfos began its digital exploration many years ago, introducing a series of digital E-pumps with improved energy efficiency into its product line, as well as iSOLUTIONS solutions that go beyond a single component. In response to the needs of the Chinese local market, Grundfos launched its first intelligent monitoring platform, Grundfos Waterwise, in 2021. Today, the energy saving master – Grundfos Waterwise third generation intelligent analysis and diagnosis system has come out, for metallurgy, chemical, electric power, electronics, pharmaceutical and other high-energy industries to bring more excellent energy-saving effects. The biggest highlight of the new solution is the superior energy saving effect. Taking the process cooling water system as an example, Grundfos can achieve energy savings of up to 30% for its customers after the energy saving retrofit combined with the Energy Saving Master Intelligent analysis report.
In addition, Grundfos has also launched a value optimization solution for the energy saving transformation of factory systems, which provides customers with customized energy saving solutions for different process and cost control needs, while reducing costs and increasing efficiency, also enabling customers to digitize and green transformation, and improve safety.
Grundfos Value Optimization services cover and address the visible and invisible needs of the plant in the water system, providing a comprehensive medical examination, including pump energy efficiency optimization, system optimization and intelligence, pump frequency optimization, system solutions, standardized solutions for special processes, pain point solutions, and waste heat recovery.
“At the end of 2022, Grundfos launched a new set of carbon reduction targets approved by the Science-based Carbon Target Initiative (SBTi), embarking on a new journey towards sustainability. With this goal, we need to not only optimize our own operations, but more importantly, we need to empower more customers to save energy and reduce carbon through energy efficient and smart water solutions.” “In keeping with our long-term commitment to sustainability, we are committed to working with all parties to help achieve the two-carbon goal,” said Zhu Shunhua, sales Director of Grundfos Industries’ China plant business.
