On March 28, 2023, Zhejiang Baowan Shaoxing Keqiao raw silk Project officially started construction, the total investment of the project is 6.55 billion yuan, the total land area is about 760 mu, the construction of 12 polymerization production lines, 24 spinning production lines, forming an annual output of 120,000 tons of PAN-based carbon fiber raw silk production capacity. It will break the technological monopoly of foreign countries in the field of high-quality carbon fiber prefilament and carbon fiber, and achieve domestic substitution.
The product of this project is PAN-based carbon fiber precursor, which is the key raw material of carbon fiber. As a special fiber, carbon fiber has been dubbed the “king of new materials”, “black gold of the 21st century” and other titles. After being prepared into carbon fiber composite materials, it is widely used in aerospace, new energy, sports and leisure, transportation, pressure vessels and other fields.
