Siemens today signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Guangzhou Xopeng Automobile Technology Co., LTD. (XOPeng Automobile). The two parties will rely on Siemens’ innovative technology and industry insights in industrial digitalization, smart parks, smart energy and low-carbon solutions, and help XOPeng Automobile actively seek a new model of intelligent manufacturing for the future. Deepen cooperation in the fields of digital factory construction, power battery development, manufacturing and energy storage, carbon neutral consulting services, and talent training to jointly promote the development of China’s new energy vehicle industry. Xiao Song, chairman, president and CEO of Siemens China, said that digitalization and green and low-carbon transformation are the key driving forces for China’s economy to achieve high-quality development, and Chinese enterprises represented by Xiaopeng Automobile are actively capitalizing on the trend. The signing of this agreement will open a broader space for cooperation between the two sides, Siemens is willing to complement the advantages of digital and low-carbon “two-wheel drive” with XOPeng Automobile, and jointly explore a new path for the intelligent and low-carbon development of China’s new energy vehicle industry.

According to the agreement, the two sides will build an all-round and sustainable strategic cooperative partnership and carry out in-depth cooperation in various fields. Siemens will rely on digital twin technology and strong industrial software capabilities to support Xopeng’s digital factory planning, construction and continuous optimization and upgrading, forming a highly flexible intelligent production system to shorten its product development cycle and improve quality.

In terms of carbon reduction, Siemens will provide XOPeng with carbon neutral consulting services from top-level planning to roadmap formulation, and help it speed up the carbon reduction process from five dimensions: strategic planning, operation management, technological transformation, green supply chain and green finance, so as to realize the low-carbon and transparent carbon emission path of the entire life cycle of the automobile factory.

At the same time, Siemens will also conduct real-time monitoring and management of the power supply and distribution infrastructure in Xiaopeng’s factory park based on technologies and solutions such as low-voltage intelligent power supply and distribution, building technology, and comprehensively improve the digitalization and low-carbon level of the infrastructure of Xiaopeng’s production base and office park.
