On the eve of Hannover MESse 2023, Siemens has launched its new Sinamics series – the Sinamics G220 high-performance inverter. This innovative inverter uses clean converter technology to reduce harmonics by up to 97% without the need for incoming filters or incoming reactors.
The Sinamics G220 inverter has significantly improved space utilization and operating efficiency, making engineering design easier. At the same time, the Sinamics G220 is fully integrated with TIA, enabling the creation of a digital twin through Startdrive to test and optimize the drive’s behavior before hardware installation, significantly reducing debugging time. The new inverter is also equipped with an IIoT module that can be easily integrated into cloud and industrial edge applications to further optimize performance and avoid unnecessary downtime. When it comes to information security, the Sinamics G220 comes standard with integrated security features that enable secure communications, integrity and authenticity checks to prevent firmware tampering, as well as user management and access control.

The Sinamics G220 drives are available ina wide range of hardware options with a wide range of software features that allow flexibility to adapt to a wide range of applications. For example, for relatively harsh use environments, this product can be provided with IP55 high protection grade and special coating with high protection. Thanks to the high quality components and hardware design, the service life of the drive is extended. At the same time, the safety integration system of this product meets the SIL3 standard, which raises the safety level to a new level. The Sinamics G220 can be used ina variety of industries, especially food and beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical, oil and gas and Marine industries.
