Rockwell Automation, one of the world’s leading companies in industrial automation, informatization and digital transformation, has announced the acquisition of Knowledge Lens. Knowledge Lens is a service and solutions provider headquartered in Bangalore, India. With its combination of deep data science digital technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and engineering expertise, Knowledge Lens can provide actionable business insights by integrating and analyzing enterprise data. With this acquisition, Knowledge Lens will join Kalypso, Rockwell Automation’s leading digital services business, to accelerate the transformation of more manufacturers around the world.
With increasing demand for expanding connectivity across the enterprise and enabling data-driven predictive and instructional insights, Rockwell Automation’s digital transformation services business is one of its fastest growing businesses. The addition of Knowledge Lens, together with Kalypso, will once again expand Rockwell Automation’s capabilities, unlock the power of data, enable autonomous manufacturing, and drive continuous optimization for more manufacturers.
Frank Kulaszewicz, senior vice president of Rockwell Automation’s Full Life Cycle Services group, said: “For manufacturers who can realize the full potential of data, data provides a huge advantage. But for many companies, only a fraction of the data generated in their factories and supply chains is used. The acquisition of Knowledge Lens effectively enhances our ability to help more manufacturers around the world discover and leverage the insights hidden in their data to create unprecedented value for their businesses.”
Founded in 2013, Knowledge Lens serves a wide range of clients and specializes in highly regulated industries, including life sciences. The addition of Knowledge Lens also expands Kalypso’s ability to leverage leading artificial intelligence and digital technologies to forge an open platform to better serve its customers.
Sudheesh Narayanan, founder and CEO of Knowledge Lens, said: “We are excited to join the Rockwell Automation and Kalypso family, which can expand the collective’s ability to innovate and work together to build a more sustainable, resilient and people-centered society. “With our extensive combined experience and Knowledge Lens’ pre-packaged cloud-native solutions for common use cases such as smart factories, connected workers, IT/OT integration, data migration and sustainability, we are well positioned to increase our market impact.”
