At present, the digital economy is becoming a key force for restructuring global factor resources and reshaping the global economic structure, and artificial intelligence technology (AI), as an important technology for mining digital value, is injecting new momentum into industrial development. How to deeply combine cutting-edge technologies with hot topics in the industry, and accelerate the integration of data and data? With the accumulation of AI technology and industry, Schneider Electric brings the “AI Dashi Cup” algorithm competition to recruit players for individual developers, universities, scientific research institutions, enterprises and other units, and jointly expand the innovation ecosystem of data intelligence, and promote the improvement of industry efficiency and the realization of sustainable goals.
According to the report released by the China Building Energy Efficiency Association, domestic building carbon emissions account for 50.6% of the total national emissions, and with the rapid advancement of urbanization and the in-depth adjustment of industrial structure, its total carbon emissions and proportion may be further increased, and it will become one of the important positions to achieve energy conservation and emission reduction and double carbon targets. Close to this key scenario, the first “AI Big Cup” algorithm competition will focus on energy consumption prediction in the field of intelligent buildings, requiring participants to use AI algorithms to build prediction models and achieve comprehensive energy consumption prediction within a specific time limit in the future based on existing data.
The competition will be officially launched on March 2nd, divided into two stages of the preliminary and final. The teams that pass the two rounds of evaluation channel of the preliminary will participate in another round of final evaluation, and the top ten teams will be selected for the final defense at the end of May, so as to determine the first to third prize and the winning prize. The winners will not only get cash rewards, but also have business cooperation and career development opportunities. The competition also invited Wang Qingqin, Deputy general manager of China Academy of Building Science Co., LTD., chairman of Green Building and Ecological Urban Branch of China Engineering Construction Standardization Association, Jiang Tao, founder and chairman of CSDN, Jin Xioning, researcher of Distribution Network Center System Department of State Grid Economic and Technological Research Institute Co., LTD., Francois Bonnard, Schneider Electric’s global Head of Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence, and a team of expert mentors from Schneider Electric’s China R&D Center technical team will also “escort” the competition throughout the process, providing support in competition design, training and judging.
As a high-tech innovative enterprise and a practitioner and enabler of sustainable development, Schneider Electric actively engages in the application of advanced technologies, combining AI with practical scenarios in many fields such as industry, construction, and energy management through continuous innovation. In the software products, such as Cloud Energy Efficiency ™ Building Consultant, Schneider Clairvision ™ Asset Consultant, EcoStruxure™ Microgrid Energy Consultant and other digital software products are applied AI technology to help efficient and intelligent asset and energy operation management; In the field of practice, Schneider Electric won the gold medal of the International Building Mechanical and Electrical Artificial Intelligence Competition in 2022, and the runner-up of the Hong Kong Land “Zhihui Cup” commercial complex Energy consumption forecast Competition, promoting AI technology to provide technical support for the digital and low-carbon dual transformation of the industry with practical actions.
Looking forward to this competition, Zhang Lei, vice president of Schneider Electric and head of digital service business in China, said: “With the deepening integration of digital economy and industrial economy, it is inevitable to build an industrial ecology of mutual benefit and mutual creation with the support of digital talents.” We look forward to the “AI Dashi Cup” algorithm competition to further connect and cultivate the developer community, help the real economy improve quality and efficiency, and move towards sustainability. Schneider Electric will also continue to cooperate with multi-field and multi-industry partners to achieve ecological win-win through open cooperation, and empower high-quality development.”
