Six products were selected in the “2022 Green Design Product List” of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology
Three factories were awarded the Provincial Green Factory of the Year 2022
Recently, the “Green Manufacturing List 2022” of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology was announced, and five Siemens factories were successfully awarded the national green Factory of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The five plants are Beijing Siemens Siberus Electronics Co., LTD., Siemens Rail Transit Equipment (Tianjin) Co., LTD., Shanghai Siemens Line Protection Systems Co., LTD., Siemens Industrial Automation Products (Chengdu) Co., LTD., and Siemens Sensors & Communications Co., LTD. At the same time, two types of overcurrent protection circuit breakers produced by Shanghai Siemens Line Protection System Co., LTD., two types of plastic shell circuit breakers produced by Suzhou Siemens Electrical Appliances Co., LTD., and two types of three-phase asynchronous motors produced by Siemens Electric (China) Co., LTD., are also included in the “Green design product list”.
Previously, Suzhou Siemens Electric Co., LTD., Siemens Transportation Electric Equipment (Shanghai) Co., LTD., and Siemens Sensors & Communications Co., Ltd. were also awarded the 2022 Provincial Green Factory.

Siemens Green factory, which was awarded this time, is through the active deployment of advanced technologies and solutions such as distributed rooftop photovoltaic system, digital operation and maintenance solutions, energy saving and efficiency solutions and smart energy management platform, and finally achieved significant energy saving and efficiency reduction and carbon reduction effects in six dimensions of infrastructure, management system, energy resource investment, products, environmental emissions and performance.
Siemens has previously announced that it will invest 650 million euros to decarbonize its own operations by 2030, and has committed to achieving carbon neutrality in its own operations by 2030. By the end of 2022, the company had achieved a 46% reduction in carbon emissions since 2019. In September 2021, Siemens officially launched the “Zero Carbon Pioneer Program” in China, which is committed to promoting carbon reduction in three areas: its own operations, supply chain management and customer empowerment.
