The national standard is an important result of standardization work in the field of predictive maintenance, providing a “ruler” for measuring the level of predictive maintenance technology, and providing a “letter of credit” and “passport” for its promotion and application. Before this, although predictive maintenance technology is a typical application of artificial intelligence technology in the field of intelligent manufacturing, the accuracy, effectiveness and applicability of its algorithms and models are difficult to be scientifically and reasonably evaluated. Since 2022, the GB working group has tested different categories of algorithms such as machine learning and expert systems according to the test methods for accuracy, accuracy, recall and other indicators stipulated in the standard, further verifying the evaluation process, evaluation system and evaluation method stipulated in the standard. After more than a year of discussion and modification, the development and release of the national standard was finally completed. In parallel with the formulation of the National Standard, the working group also declared the international standard Intelligent service – Predictive maintenance – Algorithm verification method. The standard achievements with China’s independent intellectual property rights will be promoted to the international community, and the right to speak of international standards will be further seized.

In terms of helping to set evaluation processes, indicators and tools, through the discussion and sharing of SKF predictive maintenance platform, algorithms and evaluation architecture, SKF provides a practical reference for the construction of the evaluation process, system, indicators and tool set of the standard, and simultaneously promotes the standardization, modularization, process and open evolution of SKF intelligent algorithms. In addition, in terms of helping to create data sets that are closer to actual scenarios, SKF also makes the construction of predictive maintenance standardized databases closer to the field through the verification sharing of data sets from the application scenarios of the two algorithms covering condition monitoring and fault diagnosis, making predictive maintenance algorithm testing and verification more practical.
