On the morning of January 23, 2024, the annual meeting of experts and the award ceremony were successfully held at Siemens Beijing Center. After a year of exploration and practice, Siemens standardization expert recognition system has been continuously upgraded, forming a sound access mechanism, exit mechanism and selection mechanism, and in November last year, a special Siemens standardization expert review Committee was formed. The annual conference recognized five selected stars of the year and three special award winners. Representatives of the management team awarded the “Siemens Standardization Expert” certificate to eight newly promoted Siemens experts.
Siemens standardization experts cover more and more diverse areas, and the team of experts is growing. At the award ceremony, nearly 50 standardization experts reviewed the establishment process of the standardization expert recognition system and the results of standardization work in the past year.
Dr. Xiao Song, President and CEO of Siemens Greater China, stressed that standardization experts need to practice entrepreneurship, identify changes in the era of change, dare to compete, take the initiative to break the situation, and cooperate for win-win. On the afternoon of the same day, the annual Siemens China Standardization Open Day was held in the Siemens Beijing Center. The theme of this year’s Siemens China Standardization Open Day is “Standards and Conformity Assessment Support Green and low-carbon Development”! The event was organized by Siemens China Technical Regulation, Standardization and Quality Management. Siemens standardization and colleagues from various business areas and departments, together with experts from authoritative institutions in China, including the State Administration for Market Regulation, the China Institute of Standardization and the China Quality Certification Center, shared the latest policies on green products, carbon labeling and carbon footprint, and discussed the leading role of standardization in the two-carbon trend. The interaction of more than 100 guests in person and online was excellent.
As of fiscal year 2023, Siemens has nearly 101 expert seats in standardization organizations in China, who have participated in the drafting of more than 254 national standards, more than 30 industry standards, and several group standards.
