A few days ago, Ford Motor Company Q1 award ceremony was held at the new Schaeffler Taicang manufacturing base. Schaeffler Taicang 1 Plant was certified through rigorous audits, demonstrating that Taicang 1 Plant meets Ford’s highest standards in key areas such as product quality, operational delivery, service capability and continuous improvement.

In 2018, the first Schaeffler Taicang Plant, located in Chaoyang Road, Taicang City, received Ford Q1 certification for the first time. As the first Schaeffler plant built in China, Taicang is a representative of Schaeffler’s operational excellence in China. In 2021, in order to meet the needs of business development and optimize the overall layout in Taicang, Taicang Plant 1 began to gradually relocate to the new Taicang manufacturing base located in Beijing Road, Taicang City.

The new plant and new facilities, coupled with the concept of sustainable development and the in-depth application of digital technology, have further improved the overall operating efficiency and quality management level of Taicang No. 1 Plant. Since the plant moved into production, parts supplied to Ford have maintained a level of “zero” PPM (defective parts per million units), earning high customer recognition and laying the foundation for another Q1 certification.

Ford Q1 quality management system has always been known for its rigor, which is the highest honor given by Ford to its suppliers in the field of quality. Obtaining this certification reflects Ford’s highest degree of recognition and trust in its suppliers.

All factories worldwide have established a quality management system in line with internationally recognized quality standards and regulatory requirements, and ensure consistent quality and stable performance of all products through unified processes and standards.

The first Taicang plant once again won the Ford Q1 certification, which is another affirmation of Schaeffler’s high quality level.
