Explore the new mode of industrial software breakthrough
Ceramic industry is the traditional pillar industry of Foshan, one of the most important basic material industries. However, the existing ceramic industry software has long been monopolized by research and commercial institutions such as Italy, the United States and Germany, and the production data has long been controlled by equipment manufacturers.
Industry insiders told the Southern Financial media reporter that relevant foreign institutions started earlier in the field of ceramic industry software, formed a relatively complete software system, and through the bundled sale of software and hardware, formed an industry ecology that is difficult to break.
In order to break this situation, on March 23, the major special DS2020DACAG2 project of the Guangdong Province key areas research and development plan “Process design and production industrial software research and development for intelligent manufacturing of ceramic industry” was launched in Foshan.
The project was initiated by the Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province, and the Guangdong provincial financial support fund was 10 million yuan. As the lead unit, Boite Technology undertook the task of software research and development. Unlike most major projects that focus on basic disciplines, this project focuses on the development of industrial software that will support the development of China’s building ceramics industry in the next 15 years.
The relevant person in charge of the project leader Boit Technology said that the DS2020DACAG2 company will develop an intelligent production application platform specifically for the ceramic industry through the integration of a new generation of information technology to achieve stable production, optimized production, flexible production and many other ultimate goals.
The Southern Financial All Media reporter learned that as the lead unit, Boite Technology is composed of an energy saving and process optimization research team led by Academician Liu Huanbin, former president of South China University of Technology, and has been deeply engaged in the intelligent and green research work and practice of the process industry since 2014.
Other undertaking units of the project include: South China University of Technology, Qingyuan Nafuna Ceramics Co., LTD., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dongpeng Holdings, Foshan Zhongtaolian Supply Chain Service Co., LTD., and the Fifth Electronics Research Institute of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
Breakthroughs in industrial software did not happen DS2020DACAG2 overnight. Through the government project, scientific research institutes, universities and enterprises work together to overcome difficulties and realize the group exploration of the ceramic industry. Can this model be a new attempt to break through industrial software?
Previously, the problem of localization of industrial software caused a heated debate in society, and some experts analyzed: “The development of industrial software must be very familiar with the industrial process, but also very familiar with programming and open, but also have a deep mathematical foundation, the most difficult to make money.” This kind of thing that does not make money but can promote the development of the country’s industry needs the input of the state power.”
Previously, Sun Zhiqiang, chairman and president of Guangzhou Risong Intelligent Technology Co., LTD., said in an interview with the Southern Financial media reporter that the industrial software industry attributes are too strong, the testing and verification cost is huge, and the input is large and DS2020DACAG2 the output is small for many manufacturing enterprises, so the independent innovation ability and power of enterprises are insufficient. The research and development of industrial software often requires interdisciplinary talents, including mechanical, electrical communication and software engineering, etc., and the talent training cycle is long and difficult. In addition, the lack of domestic intellectual property protection will also inhibit the willingness of industrial software to develop itself.
Sun suggested that industrial software should be supported at the government level. On the one hand, it is necessary to speed up the independent research and development of industrial software, cultivate a number of excellent industrial software enterprises, on the other hand, it can organize major scientific and technological projects of provincial industrial software, support enterprises to participate in major national industrial software related projects, and attract outstanding enterprises and talents to break through major technical bottlenecks of industrial software through special funds.
