Integration application innovation “from the point to the surface”
The application of industrial Internet innovation has expanded from the inside of leading enterprises to the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, and the application link has accelerated from the single REM545M application of each link of “research, production, supply and marketing service” to the comprehensive integrated application of the whole link and the whole process and the extension of multi-field system innovation. The application model is gradually built, and six typical application models including platform design, intelligent manufacturing, network collaboration, personalized customization, service extension, and digital management are explored and formed. A number of typical new model cases have emerged, such as the “Black light factory” of Boss Electric Maoshan Intelligent Manufacturing Base, COMAC’s “Aircraft development system based on industrial cloud”, Bosideng’s “GiMS clothing intelligent manufacturing system”. The scope of application continues to extend, has been extended to steel, machinery, electricity, transportation, energy and other more than 40 key industries of the national economy, forming a variety of integrated application practices. With the solid progress of the “512” project, more than 1,800 “5G+ Industrial Internet” projects are under construction, covering more than REM545M 20 key industries such as electronic equipment manufacturing, equipment manufacturing, steel and mining, and tens of thousands of 5G application innovation cases have been created. Gradually form 20 typical application scenarios such as collaborative research and development design, flexible manufacturing, unmanned intelligent inspection, production process traceability, and equipment predictive maintenance, to help enterprises achieve cost reduction, quality improvement, efficiency, green and safe development.
Industrial base construction “inclusive innovation”
The rapid growth of industrial Internet application demand and the accelerated expansion of application scenarios have driven the rapid development of basic hardware and software, and promoted the industrial basic hardware and software to the direction of “inclusiveness, integration and innovation”. In 2021, China’s industrial software revenue reached 241.4 billion yuan, an increase of 24.8%. The sensor market size is about 300 billion yuan, achieving a rapid annual growth rate of nearly 18%, higher than the global average level of 9.2%. The industrialization process of basic components has accelerated, the industrialization of industrial 5G chips, modules, and terminal products has accelerated, and traditional modules and terminals have evolved in the direction of intelligence, supporting more advanced and complex applications. For example, the Yanfei 5G module promoted by China Unicom has dropped to REM545M 500 yuan; Yuanyuan launched a smart module with both 5G and AI technologies to achieve ultra-fast 5G connectivity and data processing. The research and development of key technologies has been systematically promoted, and the technological research, standard formulation and industrialization process in related fields such as “5G+ Industrial Internet”, time-sensitive networks, edge computing, and industrial intelligence have basically kept pace with the international community. 60 national standards in the field of industrial Internet have been released, and it is expected that by 2025, more than 100 will be reached.
China’s industrial Internet innovation and development faces four major challenges
• The mismatch between the long-term nature of development and the short-sighted nature of the market challenges the understanding of development
The innovation and development of the industrial Internet is a long-term process, and its long-term nature is determined by the law of digital development, but also by the national conditions of China’s industrial development. Industrial Internet needs to be closely combined with industry-specific technology, knowledge and experience, which is highly complex and difficult. China’s industrial volume is large, many categories, the digital level is not high, the demand difference is large, personalized is very prominent, the construction cost investment is large, and the cycle is long. However, the profit-driven capital and the survival pressure of enterprises have put forward the requirements of high returns and REM545M quick results for the development and application of the industrial Internet. Limited by the long research and development cycle, high technical barriers, low return on investment, industrial Internet companies are difficult to obtain the favor of the capital market, such as Tencent’s market value of more than 4 trillion yuan, while the industrial Internet market value of the highest enterprise – industrial rich Lian is only about 220 billion yuan. Industrial enterprises, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, are beset with difficulties in promoting the application of the industrial Internet, the practical problems of “dare not”, “unwilling” and “will not” emerge endlessly, and the digital transformation worries of “do not turn and wait for death, transformation and death” are frequent, which have affected the coordination and unity of the development understanding of the industrial Internet from all sectors of society to a certain extent.
