3, ABB electric mobility will strengthen the construction of electric, zero emissions of a better future
ABB Electric Mobility recently announced that it has delivered more than 1 million charging piles worldwide, which is another milestone in ABB Electric Mobility’s mission of “zero emissions” with intelligent and reliable charging solutions.
ABB Electric Mobility operates in more than 85 countries around the world. In 2022, the company invested $30 million to establish a new DC fast charging facility base in Valdano, Italy, the Electric Mobility Center of Excellence, covering an area of approximately 16,000 square meters, which set a new benchmark for the industry. With seven robust production lines, the e-Mobility Center of Excellence can produce a DC fast charging station every 20 minutes. The establishment of the new site has significantly increased ABB’s production capacity for electric mobility, doubling production capacity and promoting continued business growth.
In addition to the new production site in Valdano, ABB Electric Mobility continues to expand its business in several regions around the world. Earlier this month, ABB Electric Mobility opened a new facility in the United States that will produce up to 10,000 charging points per year for public charging stations, school buses and fleets. In 2022, ABB Electric Mobility increased its stake in Shanghai Lianchang New Energy Technology Co., LTD. (” Shanghai Lianchang “) to 80%. In the same year, ABB Electric Transportation China headquarters settled in Nanshan, Shenzhen, and successfully delivered the first ABB 480kW high-power liquid-cooled supercharge system.
Frank Muhlon, CEO of ABB Electric Mobility, said: “In 2010, we produced the first 50kW charging station in the EU, and now we are launching the Terra 360, an innovative product that delivers a range of 100 km in less than three minutes of charging. ABB Electric Mobility has long been committed to enabling a zero-emission future for transport with innovative technologies.”
“Our continued investment in research and development demonstrates ABB Electric Mobility’s commitment to driving the electrification of transport. But to get there, we also need to make these innovative solutions widely available around the world. We are very grateful to our customers around the world who have been working with us to enable ABB Electric Mobility to deliver more than one million charging piles worldwide. We look forward to delivering more innovative solutions to create a cleaner, greener world in the future.”
ABB Electric Mobility entered the EV charging market in 2010 and today has sold more than 1 million charging points in 85 countries, including more than 50,000 DC charging points and more than 1 million AC charging points, as well as charging points sold through Chargedot.
