onsemi (NASDAQ: ON) announced the formation of its Analog and Mixed Signal Business Unit (AMG), led by newly appointed Division President Sudhir Gopalswamy. The business will focus on expanding On’s industry-leading portfolio of power management and sensor interfaces, unlocking $19.3 billion in new markets and accelerating growth in the automotive, industrial and cloud markets.

Under his leadership, the Power Solutions Division generated more than $4 billion in revenue last year and accelerated its silicon carbide (SiC) business to more than $800 million in revenue by 2023.

The Analog & Mixed Signal Division focuses on the development of a range of power management ics and high-precision, low-power sensor interfaces and communications products. This will make On the supplier of a full range of efficient power solutions, further expanding the product portfolio to include gate drivers, DC-DC converters, polyphase controllers, electronic fuses and more. The business will continue On’s leadership in sensor interface and communication solutions for the automotive AKM43G-ANCNR-00 and industrial sectors, including inductive, ultrasonic and medical sensors, as well as single-pair Ethernet and Bluetooth Low Energy (Bluetooth LE) solutions.
The Analog and Mixed Signal Division combines the former Advanced Solutions Division (ASG) and the Integrated Circuits Division (ICD), which is part of the Power Solutions Division. Gopalswamy will lead both the Analog and Mixed Signal Group and the Intelligent Perception Group (ISG), which together generated nearly $4 billion in revenue for the company last year.
This strategic move will strengthen On’s position in the industry and enhance architectures by providing analog and mixed-signal technologies to enable more advanced functionality, higher performance and faster time to market, adding more system value to customers.
On On will release its first quarter 2024 financial results based on the restructured segment structure and provide comparative historical data.
