Harting introduces a new AEF high-voltage connector for electrified agricultural applications. This new connector describes a new high-voltage interface between tractors and tools and is the result of an internal standardization process at AEF (Agriculture Industry Electronics Foundation). AEF (Agriculture Industry Electronics Foundation) is a group of leading companies in the agricultural sector.
DMC2 50720P The new AEF high-voltage connector itself can be used for both AC and DC applications, as described in AEF guideline RIG 030 1.0, which has been converted to the international standard ISO 23316-2 in October 2023. Made primarily of aluminum and high-quality stainless steel, the connector is designed for use in very harsh and dusty environments.
In terms of the housing, it is a modular design, like a typical industrial Han connector. This means that customers can form a complete connector by ordering and adding individual components such as housing, pins and pins.
In terms of product realization, the Harting AEF high voltage connectors use a glue-covered plug, which has the advantage of complete industrial manufacturing and testing cable harnesses. Another advantage is the high level of protection on the cable side (IP 6K9K).
DMC2 50720P Advantages of the new AEF High Voltage connector:
• The connector is designed for AC and DC applications with current up to 200A
• DC DC: 800 volts
• AC: 3-phase 480V
• Integrated circuit breaker function
• Integrated interlocking function
• Integrated on-board Ethernet T1 and BroadR-Reach (AC version)
• Comply with IEC 60529 protection grade standard: IP 6k9k
• Number of locks/plugs: > 3000
