Vaisala has expanded the capabilities of VaiNet wireless technology to make it compliant with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Announcement No. 52 of 2019.
The Vaisala viewLinc continuous monitoring system wirelessly tracks environmental conditions using Vaisala VaiNet wireless devices. Thanks to VaiNet’s anti-jamming, anti-interception and anti-multipath fading features, VaiNet wireless data loggers are able to communicate through critical infrastructure obstacles such as concrete and steel.
8811-IO-DC Robust wireless communication eliminates the need to use Repeaters to improve signal strength. VaiNet wireless technology reduces the labor and cost typically consumed by wireless monitoring because the VaiNet RFL100 series data loggers do not require a power outlet and Ethernet connection. The RFL100 data logger has onboard memory to record data at the measurement point, so no data is lost.
In China, equipment that uses radio frequencies to communicate is subject to the National Radio Administration Regulations (SRRC), and micro-power short-range radio transmission equipment must comply with the provisions of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China Announcement No. 52 of 2019.
With the support of the AP10C access point, the VaiNet system can use the 500 MHz band to send environmental data from the wireless RFL100 data logger to the viewLinc continuous monitoring system. The VaiNet AP10 access point transfers data from the data logger to the viewLinc. Both the access point and the software verify that the data is being received correctly. Once the data is verified, it is stored in viewLinc’s secure database, where it is not at risk of tampering or loss.
