The two sides discussed further reaching a new round of strategic cooperation on the integration of industry and education. Zhu Xiaoxun, Executive Vice President of Siemens (China) Co., LTD., Dean of Siemens Research Institute in China, and Zhu Xinyuan, Vice President of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, signed the cooperation framework agreement on behalf of the two sides.
According to the agreement, the two sides will give play to their respective advantages in technology, platform, industry and personnel training and continue to deepen cooperation. In terms of technological innovation and platform co-construction, Siemens will jointly build a sustainable technology research center and a “Twin Tower” teaching practice center platform with Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s Puyuan College of Future Technology. In terms of talent training, combined with the “Siemens Global Science and Technology Innovation Ecological Partnership Program”, Siemens will work with the German Center of Shanghai Jiao Tong University to build a Sino-German industry-university-research innovation consortium, create a new model of Sino-German cooperation in the new pattern of digital talent training and innovation ecology construction, and further jointly promote the construction of innovation ecology in the Yangtze River Delta region.
