To inject new vitality into rural revitalization and provide new ideas for rural infrastructure construction, the 2024 Delta Cup International Solar Architecture Design Competition with the title of “Sunshine • Rural Resilience” was held at Tianjin University on April 12 to collect outstanding works from around the world. The two projects in this competition are located in Hebei province, respectively, the construction project of Erbaozi Village in Huaian County, Zhangjiakou City and the construction project of Libazhuang Village, Qingyuan District, Baoding City. Combined with relevant policies, the competition aims to improve rural disaster prevention and mitigation capabilities and promote the application of renewable energy in buildings, with a view to creating safe, sustainable and vibrant rural communities. At the same time, the 2023 Delta Cup competition award ceremony was held. Last year, the theme of the competition was “Sunshine • Zero Carbon Building”. The two competition questions included: Zero carbon Design project – Culture and Technology 2711PC-T10C4D1 Museum of Guangzhou Science and Education City, zero carbon promotion project – Community complex building of Guangzhou Public Utility Technician College.
