The 2024 Hannover MESse opened in Hannover on the evening of the 21st.
The theme of this year’s exhibition is “Injecting vitality into sustainable industrial development”, which will last until 26th. The show focused on efficient and sustainable industrial solutions, with Industry 4.0, industrial energy, artificial intelligence and machine learning, carbon neutrality and hydrogen and fuel cells among the hot topics.

Jochen Kockler, chairman of the board of directors of Deutsche Messe AG, the organizer of the show, said that the innovations on display at the show will focus on smart and carbon-neutral production, artificial intelligence, hydrogen energy and energy solutions. He pointed out that AI is the key to competition and sustainable development in the industry. Although Germany faces a labor shortage, the application of AI offers growth opportunities in the industrial sector.
German Chancellor Scholz hopes that this exhibition can provide new impetus for the energy transition and enhance the competitiveness of German industry. At the opening ceremony held on the evening of the 21st, he said that the many innovations and modernizations brought by this exhibition are exactly what Germany needs to ensure the healthy development of the German national economy in the next 10, 20, 30 years and even longer term, while protecting jobs.
TIP114-10R Hannover MESse was born in 1947 and has become one of the most influential industrial fairs in the world. The exhibition, which attracted about 4,000 exhibitors from all countries and regions around the world, has not yet recovered to the scale of the pre-pandemic 2019 (6,500).
